Starknet will issue 50 million STRK tokens to early ecosystem contributors
Starknet Foundation will distribute its unreleased 50 million STRK tokens to early ecosystem contributors. This plan is called the "Early Community Member Program" and will reward individual contributors who encourage technical discussions, organize activities related to Starknet, and regularly publish Starknet brand content, according to a blog post. "We plan to take this opportunity to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the Starknet ecosystem in various ways. Such contributions involve being a key member who has made a huge and positive impact on the ecosystem," the Starknet Foundation said in the blog post. The foundation also added that it will reserve some tokens in case some contributors are missed. <br>

Starknet unveils decentralization roadmap aimed at transitioning sequencer and prover operations to decentralized proof-of-stake protocol
Starknet has announced its decentralized roadmap, stating that Starknet's goal is to transition the operations of the sorter and prover to a decentralized proof-of-stake protocol, including two paths: implementing various components required to run a decentralized protocol; and gradually transitioning operational power to Starknet stakers.
A New Proposal From the Starknet Community Proposes Using the STRK Token as a Fee Token
Odaily Planet Daily News reported that Ohad Barta, the leader of the Starknet community, has released a new proposal on the official governance forum. The proposal suggests that the newly introduced V3 transactions be paid for with STRK (i.e. accounts must have STRK balance). The old version transactions will continue to support payment with ETH.
The main content of the proposal is to use the native token of Starknet, STRK, as a payment token on Starknet, as one of its main uses.

Starknet and zkSync See Increase in Monthly Active Developers While Ethereum and Other Platforms Experience Decrease: Electric Capital Report
According to a developer report by Electric Capital, Ethereum layer-2 scaling solutions Starknet and zkSync have seen an increase in their total monthly active developer counts over the past year, while Ethereum, Polygon, and Solana have seen a decrease. Starknet's "Quantum Leap" went live in July and can potentially increase Ethereum's transactions per second (TPS) from 13-15 to 37 TPS consistently and up to 90 TPS in some cases.
The Nethermind Internship Program Has Received Grant Support From the Starknet Foundation
According to official sources, Nethermind, a research and engineering company for Ethereum, has received support from the Starknet Foundation Grant for its Nethermind Internship Program. The program will provide opportunities for the next generation of STARK and Cairo developers and researchers to learn. Interns can participate in STARK-driven infrastructure contributions, such as Cairo development, full-node client implementation, block explorers and analysis platforms, Go VM open-source implementation, and Starkent Remix plugins.
