Ethereum layer-2 scaling platform StarkNet has overhauled its in-house Cairo coding language to make Web3 development accessible to developers.

Cairo is a relatively new language and is rapidly evolving. StarkNet uses the Cairo programming language for both its infrastructure and its smart contracts.

The newly-created StarkNet Foundation, with support and resources from a broad cross-section of community members, will foster research, development, and extension of the StarkNet network and supporting technology, promote use and adoption of the StarkNet network, and fuel StarkNet community participation and project governance. The Foundation will help fund and organize user and developer conferences, and coordinate cooperation with allied and related communities.
