Nostr Assets Protocol: fiatjaf’s accusations are baseless and NostrAssets uses the Nostr protocol
On December 4th, Nostr Assets Protocol posted on social media that the claims made by fiatjaf, the founder of the Nostr protocol, regarding NostrAssets are baseless. The main purpose of building the NostrAssets ecosystem is to enable developers to create commercial use cases on the Lightning Network and Nostr. Fiatjaf's accusations lack justification, and custodial solutions should not be misunderstood as fraudulent behavior. Many Lightning wallets (including Wallet of Satoshi) provide custodial wallets for users to utilize the Lightning Network without being considered fraudulent. The upcoming NOSTR assets are not related to the core developers of Nostr. NostrAssets uses Nostr, Taproot Assets, and Lightning in its development, hence its relation to Nostr. Additionally, Nostr Assets Protocol stated that it is strengthening the Lightning Network and Nostr by introducing financial applications.
Nostr developers warn users that NostrAssets is a fraudulent platform for borrowing names
On December 3rd, fiatjaf, the developer of the decentralized social protocol Nostr, issued a statement on social media warning users to avoid interacting with the platform called NostrAssets. NostrAssets has no actual affiliation with the Nostr protocol itself, and only borrows the name Nostr. fiatjaf emphasized that users should not deposit any sats into the platform.<br>In addition, fiatjaf also accused the platform of issuing a token called nostr, which is 100% fraudulent, and has no connection with the founder and team of Nostr.
