Beatport, the popular music platform for DJs and musicians, is launching a new marketplace called Beatport.io on the Aventus parachain built on the Polkadot network. Beatport.io will feature techno elements in various NFT art drops, which the platform's media services SVP Ed Hill calls "Music+." The marketplace will function similarly to OpenSea, but with a specific focus on electronic music. The launch includes a collection called "NACHTS," featuring original work from Berlin-based photographer Mischa Fanghaenel and music from producer and DJ Len Faki, with more drops expected in the future.
