Insiders say that the US cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is considering partnering with several leading blockchain technology companies to launch its own Layer 2 network, including Polygon, Matter Labs, and Nil Foundation.

According to official sources, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has implemented a fix for the previously discovered cryptocurrency withdrawal/deposit delay issue.

Kraken to Share 42,000 Users' Data with IRS in Compliance with Court Order

Kraken, a US-based exchange, will comply with a court order to share data on 42,000 of its users with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in early November. The data shared will include customers' names, dates of birth, tax IDs, addresses, contact information, and transaction histories.

Kraken will suspend USDT, DAI, WBTC, WETH and WAXL trading in Canada

According to multiple emails received by customers, encrypted exchange Kraken will suspend all transactions related to USDT, DAI, WBTC, WETH, and WAXL in Canada. As of November 30th, the recharge and transaction functions of the above assets will be stopped. As of December 4th, users will no longer be able to withdraw related assets. As of December 5th, all remaining related assets will be converted to US dollars at the real-time market exchange rate and deposited into users' accounts. A Kraken spokesperson stated via email that, in light of recent regulatory changes in Canada and extensive consultations with CSA and OSC, the decision was made to suspend trading of the aforementioned tokens. Kraken remains "committed to providing exceptional trading experiences for Canadian customers." 

Kraken to Share Data on Tens of Thousands of Users with IRS in Compliance with Court Order

Crypto exchange Kraken has announced that it will share data on tens of thousands of its users with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in compliance with a court order. The company will share information regarding cryptocurrency transactions above $20,000 made by Kraken customers between 2016 and 2020. The exchange is framing the matter as a victory for privacy advocates, as it fought the summons, which sought intrusive and unnecessary information about U.S. clients. Kraken plans to share the user information in early November.

Kraken plans to share certain user information with IRS under court order in November

On October 27th, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken plans to share specific user information with the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in November after receiving a court order in June, as reported by The Block. The dispute between the IRS and Kraken began in May 2021 when a federal court authorized the tax agency to issue a John Doe subpoena to the cryptocurrency exchange and its subsidiaries to catch tax evaders. The IRS claimed at the time that Kraken did not comply with the subpoena. In February of this year, the tax agency submitted a court document seeking approval to enforce the subpoena, and in June, a federal court ordered Kraken to provide user information to the IRS.

Five hours ago, the Uniswap Foundation Custody address transferred 3 million UNI tokens (approximately $13.23 million) to the 0xdFD address. Subsequently, the 0xdFD address transferred 2 million UNI tokens (approximately $8.82 million) to Wintermute's Kraken trading platform recharge address.

Kraken launches new marketing campaign in UK and US focusing on cryptocurrency’s transformative nature

&nbsp;According to Kraken, the largest marketing campaign to date has been launched in the United States and the United Kingdom, focusing on the transformative aspects of cryptocurrency rather than the get-rich-quick information of the last bull market. The company's new campaign also takes an explicit educational approach, hoping to make people more comfortable with cryptocurrency. Kraken pointed out in a blog post that "51% of people... have not bought any bitcoin because they do not know enough about it." Although Kraken has advertised in the past, including a Formula One partnership, Kraken's Chief Marketing Officer Mayur Gupta said the exchange has never executed such a large-scale direct-to-consumer marketing strategy. Gupta said the campaign will initially launch in the United States and the United Kingdom and is planned to expand globally next year. <br>

Crypto Exchange Kraken Expands into Europe with Key Authorizations in Ireland and Spain

Kraken Exchange, one of the top US-based crypto exchanges, has obtained an E-Money Institution (EMI) registration from the Central Bank of Ireland and a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration from the Bank of Spain, allowing it to expand globally into major European financial hubs. The EMI license will enable Kraken to deal with European banks, while the VASP registration will allow it to operate as a crypto exchange and wallet provider. Kraken's vice president of global operations, Curtis Ting, said the company's market-leading position in liquidity and volume for EUR crypto pairs, round-the-clock live client service, and robust security bring a compelling value proposition for future clients in Europe. <br>
