Analysts had estimated an average net revenue of CAD674m ($492m) for the financial year and CAD43m ($31m) for the quarter, but the firm achieved revenue of $419.4m. Counterparty trading volumes increased by about 19% in Q4 over the prior period, but decreased 65% YoY.

Fidelity Is Building Out a Crypto and Token Research Team
Fidelity is hiring a lead for its crypto and token research development team, according to a job listing on LinkedIn. The senior position will join the existing quantitative research and investments technology team in Fidelity's asset management business, and will work on data and technical frameworks for evaluating tokens and associated blockchain protocols. Fidelity has had an institutional trading and execution services team since 2018, and recently opened up bitcoin and ether trading to its retail brokerage clients. The new crypto research role will report into the vice president of quant development and partner with other Fidelity business and technology leaders to identify and define strategic priorities based on business value needs.
CMC Markets Expects 290 Million Pounds in FY2023 Income
CMC Markets, the London-based provider of contracts for difference, spread betting, shares and foreign exchange services, is on track to achieve its growth target of 30% over the next three years, with net operating income expected to be between £280m and £290m at the end of FY23. Despite challenges in February and March, including lower equity volume and a rise in lower-margin institutional trading activity, stable client money, assets under administration, and monthly active clients have helped the company achieve year-on-year growth of 21% in H1 FY23.
