Conor Grogan, the Director of Coinbase, has caused a stir in the tech industry by claiming that he fed a live Ethereum contract into GPT-4, the latest language model from OpenAI.
According to a recent tweet, Grogan said that GPT-4 was able to detect several security vulnerabilities in the contract and give suggestions on how to exploit it.
"It highlighted a number of security vulnerabilities and pointed out surface areas where the contract could be exploited. It then verified a specific way I could exploit the contract", Grogan wrote in the tweet.
"I believe that AI will ultimately help make smartcontracts safer and easier to build, two of the biggest impediments to mass adoption." Grogan added.
I dumped a live Ethereum contract into GPT-4.
