US Court Retains Jurisdiction in Coinbase Crypto Regulations Case

June 21 (Cointime) - The US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit has announced that it will continue to oversee the legal battle between Coinbase and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding crypto regulations.

The court has not yet ruled on Coinbase's request for a Writ of Mandamus, but has given the SEC 120 days or until October 11, 2023 to submit a further report.

Coinbase's Chief Legal Officer, Paul Grewal, has expressed gratitude that the court is keeping the SEC's process under scrutiny. The SEC had previously refused to respond to Coinbase's request and asked for more time.
