June 18 (Cointime) - Former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan has warned that major tech companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Google could potentially assist governments in seizing digital assets from citizens.

Srinivasan believes that if G7 nations allow for digital asset seizure, tech giants could easily scan devices to find and hand over private keys to authorities if ordered to do so. He argues that this could lead to a future where communities can have their own digital gold or cryptocurrency and crowdfund bits of territory to create their own startup societies and eventually "network states." However, the real question is whether asset seizure will be possible in the digital world.
