Coinbase's VIP hiring program, which aims to attract highly-talented crypto enthusiasts with extraordinary abilities, has received 283 applications from around the world. The program is looking for people with specific skill sets and experience, including experience in elite armed forces, winners of chess tournaments, coding or video game competitions, crypto influencers with a large following on social media, crypto project founders, entrepreneurs, and holders of an O-1 Visa. The majority of the applications came from North America, with 39 from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, 13 from India, and 10 from the Asia Pacific region.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong revealed that the applicants included 6 Olympic athletes, 7 O-1 Visa holders, and individuals with experience in founding and selling companies, leading crypto forward projects, and having a large social media audience.
