Following closely behind is Arbitrum, which processed 31.4 million transactions in the past 30 days.

According to L2BEAT data on December 26th, the total value locked (TVL) on the Ethereum Layer 2 network Metis rose to $570 million, with a 7-day increase of 419.21%, surpassing zkSync Era ($568 million) to rank fourth.

zkSync Developers announced on X platform that at 13:50 today (UTC+8), an error in the server triggered one of the network's automatic security protocols. The team needs to investigate this issue, but it has now been completely resolved.

According to zkSync Era blockchain explorer, zkSync Era network has resumed block production.

zkSync Developers said that zkSync Era is currently experiencing network issues. The team is actively addressing this situation and is committed to resolving the issue as soon as possible. Once the problem is fully resolved and analyzed, we will share a post-incident report.

SyncSwap announced on X platform that SyncSwap Paymaster is now live on the zkSync Era mainnet. SyncSwap users can now pay gas fees with tokens such as USDC and HOLD without having to keep ETH in their wallets.

On November 16th, zkLink, a multi-chain transaction infrastructure based on zero-knowledge proof, launched the Layer3 network Nexus, which aims to connect various general zero-knowledge (ZK) Ethereum Rollup solutions, including zkSync, Starknet, and Polygon zkEVM. Nexus will only choose one of the Layer2 networks to perform the zk-SNARK verification process, which is lower in cost compared to directly performing verification on the Ethereum mainnet. This allows tokens to be easily transferred between one zkLink Rollup and another, and DeFi applications (including DEX and NFT markets) will be able to minimize liquidity fragmentation when sending transactions between different blockchains.
