Uniswap front-end transaction fees hit $4.75 million

Uniswap's frontend trading fees (revenue) reached $4.75 million. Earlier, Uniswap Labs announced that it will charge a 0.15% exchange (swap) fee for certain tokens in its web application and wallet from October 17, 2023. The specific tokens include ETH, USDC, WETH, USDT, DAI, WBTC, agEUR, GUSD, LUSD, EUROC, and XSGD.

The Uniswap community proposes to lower the threshold for initiating on-chain proposals to 1 million UNIs

Uniswap community opened a Snapshot vote on a temperature check proposal. The proposal aims to lower the current on-chain proposal initiation threshold (PT) from 2.5 million UNI to 1 million UNI. Lowering the PT will help lower the threshold for delegates who are actually active in the DAO to create proposals. The vote will end on January 15th, and the current approval rate is 100%.

Uniswap DAO approves granting 10 million UNI to active representatives

In order to address the issue of low participation rates, Uniswap DAO recently voted to delegate some UNI tokens held by the Uniswap Foundation to representatives with insufficient representation, who maintained an 80% participation rate. The proposal was originally aimed at allocating 2.5 million UNI tokens to four new representatives. However, after lengthy discussions, seven representatives were ultimately selected, receiving the voting rights of 10 million UNI tokens.
