PeckShield has monitored that the attacker address of the stablecoin trading project Platypus Finance has transferred about 41,000 sAVAX and 104,700 WAVAX (with a total value of about $1.4 million) to address 0x068e...FdEB.
Platypus: Refunds will be arranged for all existing LPs, and the asset pool will continue to be suspended to investigate the root cause of the attack
On October 14th, stablecoin trading project Platypus Finance posted on social media that the development team is conducting an investigation to determine the root cause of the vulnerability in this incident. For safety reasons, its mining pool will remain suspended until the fundamental problem is discovered and corrected, and its platform will undergo another round of auditing.
As the duration of this investigation is still uncertain, Platypus Finance will arrange refunds for all existing LPs, and detailed withdrawal instructions will be shared with the community in the coming days. In addition, Platypus is currently in contact with the hacker and trying to initiate negotiations.

October 13th, stablecoin trading project Platypus Finance reported a security incident that occurred between 11:29 pm and 2:17 am on October 12th, resulting in a loss of approximately $2.2 million in the sAVAX-AVAX pool. Platypus suspended the fund pool and conducted an investigation at 2:50 pm. With the help of security platform Supremacy, they successfully recovered about 50,000 sAVAX and 7,000 AVAX from one of the attackers.
Platypus is working with security experts to identify and correct vulnerabilities. Until the problem is completely resolved and security measures are strengthened, Platypus will not restart the fund pool.
