BCB Group transfers digital asset operations and custody to Ripple's Metaco platform
Metaco, a cryptocurrency custody company owned by Ripple, announced that cryptocurrency payment company BCB Group has integrated the management of its digital asset custody business into its platform. In a joint statement, the two companies stated that BCB Group has migrated its business from a third-party digital asset technology provider and is now using Metaco's custody coordination platform. This move enables the payment company to integrate its custody technology onto one platform, ensuring the security and management of its digital asset operations.
HSBC Partners with Ripple-Owned Metaco for Institutional Custody Platform for Tokenized Securities
HSBC has partnered with tech firm Metaco, owned by Ripple, to launch an institutional custody platform for tokenized securities. The bank aims to launch the service in 2024, in conjunction with its existing digital asset issuance platform, HSBC Orion, and its gold tokenization solution. The move was driven by increasing demand for custody and fund administration of digital assets from asset managers and owners. Metaco's Harmonize platform will be used to enable secure and unified operations of digital assets.
