Luke Dashjr's Github proposal to restrict inscriptions failed and closed
Luke Dashjr's proposal "datacarriersize: Match more datacarrying #28408" on Github was not approved after discussion among several Bitcoin Core developers, and the current proposal has been closed. Bitcoin Core developer achow101 concluded: "It is obvious that this proposal is controversial and it is impossible to come to a conclusion that satisfies everyone under the current circumstances. I don't think it's necessary to continue the discussion."
Bitcoin Core developer Luke Dashjr: All inscriptions don’t have to be eliminated to bring benefits to Bitcoin
Bitcoin Core developer Luke Dashjr answered questions from several skeptics on the X platform, one of whom asked: "If just one miner chooses not to exit, can that miner still process inscription transactions on the blockchain? Or must miners reach a majority consensus on whether to join/exit?" Luke Dashjr replied: "It is not necessary to eliminate all inscriptions in order to bring benefits to Bitcoin."
