HKbitEX Lianchuang: Hong Kong crypto asset license can provide both cryptocurrency and security token trading
HKbitEX co-founder and chief strategy officer, Lo Ting-kwong, said that the license for encrypted assets in Hong Kong can provide both cryptocurrency and security token offering (STO) trading services at the same time. This is actually more convenient than Singapore and the United States, where licenses in other countries and regions mostly only provide one type of service, not both, like Coinbase, which is already listed in the United States and can only provide cryptocurrency trading services.Although some people may think that Hong Kong has been relatively conservative in the development of the virtual asset market in the past, which has caused some encryption giants to lose heart and withdraw from the Hong Kong market. But in fact, Hong Kong carefully observes before deploying, and has seen results in recent years. In addition, the Securities and Futures Commission has clearly stated this year that STO investments may be open to retail investors to attract more funds and financial technology talents to Hong Kong.
HKbitEX received in-principle approval for Hong Kong virtual asset trading platform licenses No. 1 and 7
On March 28th, Tai Chi Capital announced that Hong Kong digital asset exchange HKbitEX has been granted a provisional approval for Type 1 regulated activity (dealing in securities) and Type 7 regulated activity (providing automated trading services) for virtual asset trading platforms (VATP) by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO). Tai Chi Capital Group Limited, the parent company of HKbitEX, has become the first virtual asset full-license digital financial group under the new virtual asset trading platform operator licensing regime. HKbitEX can provide automated trading and over-the-counter trading services for virtual assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, while also providing users with convenient and compliant fiat deposit and withdrawal services. After obtaining approval for listing on the SFC, HKbitEX will provide automated trading services for the group's security tokens.
