Elastos announces BTC Oracle that will make EVM compatible chains Bitcoin L2
Blockchain project Elastos announced the launch of BTC Oracle, a solution that will make all EVM-compatible chains become Bitcoin L2. Elastos states that BTC Oracle is part of Elastos' BTC L2 "BeL2", which is a BTC L2 that can directly develop and manage Bitcoin native smart contracts. Elastos' BTC Oracle acts as a zero-knowledge proof data provider source, providing real-time Bitcoin information for EVM smart contracts. A prototype has been provided to demonstrate how to stake ELA in exchange for Bitcoin rewards.
Elastos Announces BTC Oracle for Cross-Chain Operability with Bitcoin and EVM Blockchains
Blockchain project Elastos has unveiled BTC Oracle, a new solution that allows every EVM-compatible blockchain to function as a Bitcoin L2. The BTC Oracle is part of Elastos's BTC L2, BeL2, which enables direct development and management of Bitcoin-native smart contracts. The BTC Oracle provides real-time Bitcoin data to EVM smart contracts via a zero-knowledge proof data feed. A prototype is available for those interested in staking ELA for Bitcoin rewards. The announcement was made as part of The Protocol's weekly newsletter, Protocol Village.
Elastos Introduces BeL2, a Bitcoin Layer-2 Network for Sophisticated Transactions and Staking
Blockchain network Elastos is launching BeL2, a Bitcoin layer-2 network that could attract billions of dollars in BTC volumes from staking tools. BeL2 will enable more advanced bitcoin transactions, such as smart contracts and irreversible digital agreements, without the need for an intermediary. Users can also stake their bitcoin holdings directly on the platform, earning yields while interacting with BeL2-built applications. The introduction of BeL2 highlights the potential for Bitcoin holders to earn interest on their assets and join the growing trend of Bitcoin layer-2 projects.
