On June 8th, the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office announced that its cryptocurrency department had seized 70 domains used to scam the Russian community. The scam involved fake Facebook ads, including a deepfake of Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Over 20 Brooklyn residents and other victims from across the country lost a total of $5 million.

According to market news, the US House of Representatives committee announced that a hearing on cryptocurrency crime will be held on November 15th.
