Decentralized data marketplace Masa Network raises $8.7 million through Coinlist community sale
Decentralized data marketplace Masa Network announced the completion of a $8.7 million fundraising through a community sale on the Coinlist platform. Of the 63,554,660 MASA tokens initially allocated, $5 million was raised, and the additional tokens worth $3.75 million were also sold out. Masa Network completed a $5.4 million seed round in January this year, with participation from Avalanche Blizzard Fund, OP Crypto, Digital Money Group, and others.
CoinList: 600,000 new users in 2023
On December 22nd, CoinList released a platform review of their data, stating that they added 600,000 new users in 2023, with the strongest growth coming from Europe and Asia. They have had a total of 5 community fundraisings, with over 1.5 million users registered to participate and a cumulative token sales exceeding 20 million US dollars. CoinList reaches settlement with OFAC over sanctions violations for approximately $1.21 million
Virtual currency exchange CoinList, located in San Francisco, has reached a settlement with the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for violating sanctions. CoinList has agreed to pay $1,207,830. OFAC stated that the exchange processed 989 transactions on behalf of users residing in Crimea between April 2020 and May 2022, in violation of OFAC's sanctions against Russia/Ukraine.
