The wallet also supports all significant BTC address formats, ensuring seamless interoperability with other wallets. Brave's decision to embrace BTC comes at a time when the cryptocurrency ecosystem is experiencing a wave of innovation, driven by the growth of NFTs and DeFi applications, as well as increased adoption and regulatory approval. The browser plans to expand its crypto capabilities further by introducing shielded Zcash transactions and support for more Bitcoin account types.

Privacy browser Brave announced that Brave Rewards has launched a self-hosted BAT payment method through the Solana chain. Starting today, some users can choose to send their monthly BAT rewards to their own Solana chain wallet address.
