Bitcoin (BTC) has reclaimed the $23,000 position after acting as a major resistance hurdle recently. As the asset attempts to build on its upward trajectory, investors are wondering if this new position signals a sustained rally or is just a temporary bull run.

Tesla Inc. (Nasdaq: TSLA) released its earnings results for Q4 2022 on Wednesday. The company’s balance sheet shows net digital assets of $184 million, down from $218 million in the previous quarter. According to its other financial statements, no digital assets were bought or sold during the fourth quarter.

Arizona state Senator Wendy Rogers has reintroduced a set of bills aimed at making Bitcoin (BTC) legal tender and allowing state agencies to accept the digital currency as a form of payment.

Republican senator Wendy Rogers introduced a bill on Jan. 25 that proposes including Bitcoin (BTC) in the list of currencies accepted as legal tender in Arizona. If passed, Arizona would become the first state in the U.S. to embrace Bitcoin as an official currency.

The Bank of Canada (BoC) as expected boosted its benchmark overnight rate by 25 basis points to 4.5% on Wednesday morning, but somewhat surprisingly said it's going to at least temporarily pause on any future interest rate increases.

Cryptocurrency prices began to pullback overnight, with ether leading the drop. Equities were in the red during the early session, with Block and Silvergate declining.
