In the First Half of 2023, Binance’s Lobbying Expenditure Will Exceed One Million US Dollars, Which Is Almost Equivalent to the Lobbying Expenditure of the Whole of Last Year

According to DL News citing data from OpenSecrets, a platform that tracks political donations, Binance spent over $1 million on lobbying in the first six months of 2023, which is almost equivalent to its spending for the entire year of 2022. During the same period, Coinbase spent $1.4 million, and paid $3.4 million to lobbyists in 2022.

Coinbase and Binance's lobbying spending reached $2.4 million in the first half

According to data from OpenSecrets, an organization that tracks political donations, Coinbase and Binance spent a total of $2.4 million on lobbying in the first half of 2023. Binance spent over $1 million to influence lawmakers on Capitol Hill, Coinbase spent $1.4 million during the same period. Other companies with significant lobbying expenditures include Ripple, Crypto.com, and the Blockchain Association.

Binance: Spot API request limit per IP address to be raised to 6,000 per minute

Golden Finance reported that Binance announced that in order to improve the trading experience of spot API users, Binance Spot API will optimize the request weight limit rules for each IP address. Starting from 00:00 (UTC) on August 25, 2023, the request weight limit for each IP address will be increased to 6,000 times per minute.

Binance will delist LTCBUSD and DOGEBUSD U-margined perpetual contracts at 17:00 on August 24

On August 17th, according to an official announcement, Binance will automatically liquidate LTCBUSD and DOGEBUSD U perpetual contracts at 17:00 on August 24th Beijing time, and delist the LTCBUSD and DOGEBUSD U perpetual contract trading pairs after the liquidation is completed. In addition, the leverage and margin ladder for LTCBUSD and DOGEBUSD U perpetual contracts will be updated at 20:30 on August 17th.

Binance Allows Return of Assets for Damaged Users of "Rug Pull Project XIRTAM"

Binance has opened the asset refund for the "Rug Pull project XIRTAM" damaged users. Eligible users can now enter the refund contract to check their qualifications and apply for the damaged funds. Binance will remove 8 BUSD trading pairs including CKB/BUSD and ZEN/BUSD on August 18

According to an official announcement, Binance will remove and stop trading the following spot trading pairs at 11:00 on August 18, 2023 (UTC+8): CKB/BUSD, FARM/BUSD, ORN/BUSD, REN/BUSD, SKL/BUSD, UFT/BUSD, ZEN/BUSD, and ZRX/BUSD. Note: - Users can still trade the above-mentioned coins in other trading pairs available on the Binance platform. - Binance will terminate the trading bot service for the above spot trading pairs, where applicable, at 11:00 on August 18, 2023 (UTC+8). It is strongly recommended that users update and/or cancel their trading bots before the above-mentioned trading bot service is stopped to avoid any potential losses.
