Zakir started his career as a software developer with Achievers (formerly I Love Rewards) when it was a tiny, bootstrapped business in 2006. He was there for nearly eight years, wearing multiple hats as the company expanded its North American presence.Being exposed to this rapid growth fuelled Zakir's career. Aside from coding through the night, he also worked as a Sales Engineer and helped lead the expansion of Achievers into Boston and San Francisco. Before leaving to co-found Loopio in 2014, Zakir spent his last two years at Achievers as a Software Development Manager, where he focused on scaling process, technology, and culture. Zakir received a BSc in Computer Engineering from Queen’s University in 2006.
