Shay co-founded our company and has served as an executive officer since September 2005, and as a member of our Board of Directors since August 2006. Shay has served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer since August 2012, our Executive Vice President, Operations from October 2006 to August 2012, and was our Chief Technology Officer from January 2006 to October 2006. Prior to co-founding Rimini Street, Shay retired from a career with Sun Microsystems (acquired by Oracle) that spanned over 15 years and included many positions of increasing global responsibility. Most recently, Shay directed all OEM sales engineering for the Sun Microelectronics subsidiary in Asia Pacific, and managed multiple teams of engineers across Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea and Singapore. Earlier in his career, Shay helped establish the Sun Microelectronics Sales office in Japan, and was one of the key engineers who designed the ground-breaking Sun SuperSparc processor chip. Shay holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, and a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.
