Thai Nguyen has over two decades of experience designing and managing semiconductor and systems development with a focus on broadband wireless.

Prior to GainSpan, he was vice president of engineering, wireless at NDS Surgical Imaging and before that vice president, engineering at TZero Technologies (acquired by NDS Surgical Imaging), a fabless semiconductor company providing high-performance UWB chip sets and video solutions.

He also served as vice president of RF/analog and applications at Quantenna Communications, where he developed MIMO RF products in sub-micron CMOS and LTCC technologies, and director of RF/analog & hardware development at Resonext Communications (acquired by RFMD) where he delivered industry-leading 802.11 a/b/g direct conversion CMOS RFIC transceivers.

Earlier, Mr. Nguyen held management and engineering positions at Toshiba America Electronics Corporation, IC Works (acquired by Cypress Semiconductor) and National Semiconductor.
