Shannon Stubo is currently the Vice President of Corporate Communications at LinkedIn. Previously, she was Senior Director of Corporate Communications at OpenTable, Inc. In this role, Stubo was responsible for all the public relations and investor relations activities for the 12-year old company. She joined the company when it was private and helped lead the communications efforts for the company’s IPO in May 2009. Prior to joining OpenTable in September 2008, Stubo spent nearly seven years at eBay Inc. where she was most recently its Vice President of Corporate Communications. Reporting to President and CEO Meg Whitman, she was responsible for managing the external communications for the company and providing guidance and counsel to a global team of communications professionals. She relocated back to California after spending two years in Switzerland as eBay’s Director of European Communications. Before relocating to Europe, Stubo co-lead eBay’s consumer PR team in California for four years, managing the public relations activities for many of the company’s key categories. Stubo left her position as the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at Yahoo! Inc. in October 2001 to join eBay. At Yahoo!, she was responsible for driving the corporate communication strategies related to the company’s quarterly earnings, acquisitions and investments, and public policy decisions. Before joining the corporate side of the department, Stubo conducted consumer public relations campaigns for several Yahoo! properties, including Yahoo! Finance. Prior to joining Yahoo! in 1998, Stubo spent four years at Intuit Inc. in a variety of roles.
