Serpil Timuray is appointed Executive Committee member of Vodafone Group and as Regional CEO of Africa, Middle East, Asia, Pacific and as of January, 2014. Prior to this role, she was CEO of Vodafone Turkey since January 2009.

Timuray also serves as a non-executive Board Member to Vodacom Group, a leading African telecoms group headquartered in South Africa, since September 2012. She was appointed to the Boards of Vodafone India, Vodafone Hutchison Australia, Safaricom Kenya in November 2013 and Vodafone Egypt in January 2014.

Timuray joined Vodafone from Group Danone, where she was the General Manager of Danone Turkey from 2002-2008. She began her career in 1991 at Procter & Gamble where she was later on appointed to the Executive Committee of P&G Turkey.

Timuray is currently the Chairperson of Board of YASED (International Investors Association) Board, the Vice-Chairperson of Board of DEIK-TIIK (Turkish-British Business Council of Foreign Economic Relations), Board Member of TOBB-GGK (Young Entrepreneurs Council of Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges) and sits on the Board of Trustees at Koç University.

Timuray was ranked 79th among the "World's 125 Women of Impact" by Newsweek in 2013 and selected as a "Young Global Leader" by World Economic Forum in 2009. She was elected as "The Professional of the Year" in Turkey for 2013, 2011 and 2010 by the Turkish Economist.
A graduate of Bogazici University Business Administration, she is married and a mother of one child.
