Sam Zales leads business strategy and operations for ClickSquared. As an experienced leader of venture-backed technology companies, he has led businesses to rapid growth and profitability and achieved significant shareholder returns for investors. Sam has over 25 years of executive management and leadership experience in the technology and marketing industries, and has served in a variety of roles with global brands. Most recently, Sam was president of Zoom Information where he led day-to-day operations and oversaw the company’s growth strategy into the marketing services and sales intelligence arenas. Prior to ZoomInfo, he was president and CEO of BuyerZone.com, an online marketplace for business purchasing which he led through its successful acquisition by Reed Elsevier (NYSE: RUK). Sam also spent ten years at American Express, holding a variety of senior marketing roles in both B2B and B2C business units. He began his career as a management consultant at Bain & Company. He has also served as board director and advisor to fast-growing venture-backed businesses including Performable (acquired by HubSpot), Locu, Artfact, and The Active Network (NYSE: ACTV). Sam graduated with honors from Dartmouth College and earned a Masters of Management with distinction from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.Outside of work, Sam is involved in a number of philanthropic and community-service organizations. He is the president of the New England regional board of the American Technion Society.He is a member of the Lexington, MA CommUNITY committee organizing the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration. Sam has served as head agent for his Dartmouth College class, reunion and Alumni Admissions representative at Kellogg, as a board member at Temple Isaiah, and has spent significant time as a volunteer at Rosie’s Place, the Special Olympics and Junior Achievement.
