Pep Carrera is the Chief Executive Officer at Nearpod. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of VitalSource Technologies, a leading educational platform technology company. Pep Carrera was most recently Chief Information Officer of Ingram Content Group, responsible for Ingram's information technology systems and comprehensive content management systems that serve publishers, libraries, booksellers and educators worldwide.

Earlier this year, Pep received a CIO Award from The Nashville Business Journal. The CIO Awards recognize the top technological executives in Middle Tennessee, and honor CIOs who use IT to proactively advance company initiatives, competitive advantage and optimize business processes.

Prior to joining Ingram, Pep served as the CTO at RAPP, a leading marketing services provider. In addition to his work at RAPP, Pep led large IT systems teams at SourceCorp, a business outsourcing provider serving Fortune 100 companies. Additionally, he spent several years managing information technology for companies in the construction industry.Pep earned a Bachelor's degree in MIS from Florida International University, and an MBA from Texas A&M University, Commerce.
