Nick Luckock plays a leading role in the global sourcing and execution of Actis’s investments in the financial services industry, using his deep sector knowledge and experience of private equity to develop and secure opportunities. His most recent investments include India’s Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC), and Rio de Janeiro based retail brokerage, XP Investimentos.
The emerging markets have always fascinated Nick who joined Actis in January 2010 from Cambridge Place Investment Management (CPIM), where he was Head of Private Investments. Nick began investing in emerging markets in 2005 and believes that there is great value in identifying common investment themes between different emerging economies and also extracting lessons from other parts of the global economy.

Prior to CPIM, Nick was a Principal in the financial services team at private equity firm, Apax Partners, and worked for The Boston Consulting Group in both London and Australia.

Nick completed an MBA at INSEAD and a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts from the University of Melbourne in Australia.
