Mike Chalfen is a solo early stage investor who backs teams building remarkable software-driven companies. He often partners with them from the start of their journeys and invest significant cheques in a small number of companies.

He invested early in a wide range of great companies including King.com, Houzz, Fizzback, The Foundry, Ubiquisys, Boxed, eDreams, QXL.com and SuSE Linux. More recently he has invested early in emerging platforms like Crate.io, Harbr, Illumio and Tray.io, “intelligent software” startups like Moogsoft and Seal Software, other exciting startups such as Snyk and Time is Ltd, as well as several unannounced investments.

In November 2017, he was honoured to be included at number six in Forbes' first Midas List Europe.
