Mayur Abhaya is the CEO & Managing Director of LifeCell and has transformed the organization to a multi-service stem cell solutions provider.

He was instrumental in the launch of many new services at the organization such as BabyCord Duo - umbilical cord tissue banking, LifeCell Femme - menstrual blood stem cell banking, cord tissue stem cell expansion and the launch of BabyShield, the world’s most advanced newborn screening service.

He introduced pioneering programs within the company and the industry through several exclusive value-added innovations such as personalized shipment of the sample, disaster relief program, LifeCell Cares program, quality guarantee program and dual storage. Mayur Abhaya persistent efforts and commitment towards quality ensured LifeCell received prestigious international accreditations.

Leading a dedicated team of professionals, Mayur Abhaya expanded LifeCell’s operations to GCC countries and abroad. He steered the organizations growth by expanding the company’s network to over 200 centers across the country. LifeCell has acquired significant market share and has continued to strengthen its leadership position. In 2013, under Mayur Abhaya able leadership, LifeCell secured an investment of Rs.35 crore from Helion Venture Partners, an India focused venture fund. Today, the company has over 1,500,000 customers who have banked with LifeCell, a first in the industry.

Mayur Abhaya comes with the experience of working at Shasun Chemicals and has held key responsibilities such as intellectual property & licensing, generics, acquisitions and implementation of various IT systems.
