I am co-founder and CEO of HUUB, a tech startup focused on disrupting the Supply Chain Industry. It was born, back in 2015, in a small garage with 80 sqm, 1 employee and 1 German brand as the first customer. Now, we have 35+ employees in 7 different areas (and we are hiring!). We manage the complete Supply Chain of 27 brands, from 12 different countries and 3 continents. We have set up two operations, Portugal and Netherlands, and a third is coming, now in the US.

This has given me a humbling appreciation of a company journey, from day one, and an understanding of what it is like to be a founder, a leader, a manager, a decision maker.

I created and developed HUUB while studying and working at Sonae and afterwards at Parfois.

At Sonae, I was managing key Supply Chain projects of the group. Redesigning all inbound flows: new logistics Hub’s were set up in the Far East, new systems were developed and new processes implemented. Implementing RDCs in the Middle East, making the first move in the group’s internationalization towards a pull model. Designing B2C operations at global scale.

At Parfois, I was responsible for designing the algorithms of the company, very focused on forecasting and optimization models, used to solve problems like replenishment and stock transfer between stores. At that time, the company had 700+ stores in 50+ Countries.

All my education has been centered in science, technology and engineering. I have never stopped studying, even when I finished my Masters in Industrial Engineering in Porto’s University. A few months later, I was starting a Post-Graduate Program in Porto Business School, in Business Intelligence and Analytics. I am now finishing a specialization in Web Applications by Microsoft. At the same time, I'm taking my PhD in Informatics Engineering, focused on Deep Learning applications.
