Laurel Meissner serves as Senior Vice President and Global Controller of Aon plc. In her role, Laurie is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, and financial operations across all lines of business globally for Aon.

Prior to joining Aon, Laurie held several positions at Motorola, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. In this role she was responsible for all accounting issues impacting Motorola worldwide; including financial reporting and controls, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, and regulations and standards imposed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Comission and the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

Before joining Motorola, Laurie held CFO positions with Initiate Systems and Cruise Technologies. Prior to that, she spent 17 years with KPMG, eventually being elected to the partnership in 1994 and appointed an SEC reviewing partner in 1996.

Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and systems analysis from Taylor University.
