Kwang Il Kim is a Partner based in Seoul. Prior to MBK Partners, Mr. Kim was a Partner and Senior M&A Lawyer at the law offices of Kim & Chang, based in Seoul. Before Kim & Chang, Mr. Kim worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers in Seoul. Mr. Kim received a BA and MA from Seoul National University and an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been a member of the Korean Bar Association since 1995 and the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1989.

Mr. Kim currently serves on the boards of directors of C&M, HK Savings Bank, Young Hwa Engineering, C&M Gangnam Broadcasting, NEPA and Homeplus.
