Julia Brady is a Partner at Valo Ventures where she invests in early-stage technology companies that address climate change by moving us toward a low-carbon, circular economy.Julia has focused her career on management consulting, strategic marketing, applied research and business insights. She worked in the marketing practice at McKinsey in New York for four years, serving Fortune 500 clients as well as emerging technology companies, and then shifted to a strategic marketing agency near Boston where she helped develop and reposition multiple brands from Fidelity to Ahold Delhaize to L.L.Bean.Her inquisitive, international outlook has been informed by living in Italy, New Zealand and various regions of the US, as well as travel to over 40 countries. Julia won a bronze medal in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in single-handed sailing, and has raced in the waters of four continents. These experiences shaped her into a deep lover of the ocean, and engendered profound respect for both the power and fragility of the natural world.Julia earned a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She has two courageous daughters, Lila and Claire, who keep her learning and laughing every day.
