Mr. Juen-Sheng Kang, also known as Andrew, serves as the Managing Director of Technology Associates Management Co. (TAMC Ltd.). Mr. Kang serves as the President of Natural Polymer International Corporation. He is the founder and served as the President at Technology Associates Corporation (TAC) in Taiwan. He served as the President at Hanmore Venture Capital Company in Taiwan. He worked for H&Q Taiwan from 1987 to 1990 as an Executive Vice President and also established Macronix International. Mr. Kang formed SpaceHab Taiwan Company Ltd. and the Hanmore Venture Capital Co., where he also served as the President. From 1992 to 1994, he served as the President and the Chief Executive Officer at Polytronix. From 1985 to 1987, Mr. Hsu was a Director in charge of the Investment division at Hsin-Chu Science Industrial Park (HSIP) and was fully responsible for the promotion of HSIP to attract overseas high-tech companies. He also reviewed the investment cases while approving and monitoring their progress. From 1982 to 1985, Mr. Kang served as the Deputy Director of the Joint Industrial and Investment Service Center of MOEA. He spent five years, from 1977 to 1982 in Pacific Glass Company, where he served at different levels while gaining hands-on experience in mass production scale. Since 1987, Mr. Kang has spent most of his career in venture capital investment business. First three years, he was responsible for the major operations of H&Q Taiwan and over the next seven years he was fully responsible for TAC’s operations. Under his responsibility, the two funds achieved an IRR of over 30 percent in these ten years. Prior to venture capital industries, Mr. Kang accumulated experience in government and industry. He serves as the Chairman of the Board at AOI, IET, Technology Associates Management Co, and NPIC. He serves on the Board of many of TAMC’s portfolio companies. He served as the Chairman of Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. since October 2002 until December 30, 2013, and Its Director since May 2000 until December 30, 2013. He serves as a Director of InnerWireless, Inc., Applied Optoelectronics, Inc., and Natural Polymer International Corp. He serves on the boards Globitech, Techauts, Netscreen, Oplink, and MKNet. Mr. Kang is a Member of Advisory Board at Alliance Management Consulting Co., Ltd. He served as Director of Quality Semiconductor, Inc. since 1992. He served as a Board Member at MXIC, Eastern Electronics, Innova Technology, from Taiwan and VIC Corp., OCRON, IXMICRO, AOC, Aimtech, NetScreen Technologies Inc., SpaceHab, PI, GRIC, QSI, Scanvision, ADS, NPIC from the U.S. He received his M.S.M. in Management and Economics from ADL Management Educational Institute, Cambridge, Massachusetts and his M.A. and B.A. from Soochow University, Taiwan.
