John W. Pietrowicz has served as Chief Financial Officer of CME Group since February 2010. He has day-to-day oversight of and responsibility for identifying, negotiating, financing and managing ongoing investments in new business opportunities. He attended the University of Notre Dame and Loyola University Chicago.

Prior to assuming his current role, he most recently served as Managing Director and Deputy Chief Financial Officer. He also has served as Managing Director, Corporate Finance and Treasury and Director, Corporate Finance since joining the company in 2003.

Before joining the company, he served as Chief Financial Officer for The Merchants' Exchange, an electronic commodities exchange based in Chicago, and held financial leadership positions for Ameritech.
