John Szczsponik is senior vice president and manager of worldwide sales and marketing at TI. Since assuming this role in 2005, he has led the development of a global sales strategy to support the company's overall business strategies.Under his leadership, the sales strategy has focused on executing superior account management, developing a wider geographic footprint for sales and applications engineering support to customers, and selling the entire TI product portfolio across a customer's system – all with the goal of increasing the company's market share.Szczsponik joined TI in 1982 and has spent his entire career in sales, sales management and marketing management positions within the company's semiconductor operations, including sales, distribution, and regional responsibilities. In 1990, he became regional manager of the Southwest; three years later became director of North America distribution. From 1997 to 1998, he served as director of Central/Southwest/Mexico area sales. Szczsponik became a vice president in 1998 and more recently has served as manager of Americas sales and marketing, manager of worldwide analog sales, and manager of Americas sales and applications before becoming a senior vice president in 2005.During his career, he has lived in Houston, Boston, Los Angeles and Dallas while traveling extensively throughout the world as he managed TI's global sales operations.Szczsponik earned a bachelor's of science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 1982. He also attended graduate school at Boston University in its master of business administration program from 1983 to 1986.
