Joel is an entrepreneur, investor, and startup advisor. He is a leading voice in digital health and telemedicine. He is obsessed with democratizing access to healthcare, making it more convenient and accessible with technology.

Joel is the founder of Simple Health, a telemedicine products that simplify the experience of accessing health products for millions of women across the United States. Previously he founded Sols Systems, a pioneer in 3D printing of medical devices which was sold to Aetrex. Joel is also an active investor and mentor in like-minded companies such as Parsley Health, Everlywell, C16Bio, Clora and Mindbloom. During COVID-19 Joel founded Frontline Foods, a grassroots non-profit that raised and deployed $10M to feeding frontline workers and effected communities using local restaurants (WCK merged the organization into their permanent programs in July 2020).

Previously Joel was part of General Electric's prestigious IT leadership program (IMLP) and its financial and operational auditing program (Corporate Audit Staff). During his time there he lead large scale IT implementations and performed operational and financial audits of GE businesses with a focus on acquisition integrations.

Joel is also an avid mountaineer, backpacker and traveler who has visited more than 40 countries and only been excluded from one.
