Mr. Jeong Joon Yu is currently President and CEO of SK E&S and President of SK Group’s Energy & Chemicals Committee. Having served as Chairman of Independent Power Producer Association (IPPA) from 2014 to 2015, Chairman of District Energy Association from 2016 to 2017 and Vice Chairman of Korea New and Renewable Energy Association from 2017, Mr. Yu has been contributing to development of the Korean energy business. He began his career as a Senior Accountant at the New York office of Deloitte & Touche before joining Mckinsey & Co. to establish its Seoul office. In 1996, he joined LG Engineering and Construction as a director. Mr. Yu has played a leading role in SK Group’s Energy and global business. He became Senior Managing Director and Head of Corporate Planning of SK in 1999 and Senior Managing Director and Head of R&I of SK in 2004. Mr. Yu became CEO of SK International in 2007 and President of SK Energy’s Resources & Chemicals Business in 2008. In 2009, he served as CEO of SK Lubricants. Prior to being appointed President of SK Group’s Global Growth Committee in 2011, he served as President of SK Energy’s Refining & Marketing CIC in 2010. Mr. Yu holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Korea University and a M.S.in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
