Gustavo “Gus” Alberelli joined Trident Capital in 2012 as a Managing Director. He leads Trident's proactive sourcing efforts and focuses on growth equity and buyout investments in Software, Internet & Technology-Enabled Services. Gus currently serves as a Board Director at Prolexic Technologies and previously served as a Board Director or Board Observer at AcademixDirect, Intelepeer, MyPerfectSale (acquired by Sugar, Inc.), and Revolution Prep. In addition to his work on behalf of Trident, Gus serves as an Advisor to Swarthmore College's Business Network.

Previously, Gus was a Director at Kennet Partners where he led growth equity investments across the technology sector, typically as the first institutional investor, and worked extensively with portfolio companies to optimize the efficiency of their respective sales models.

Gus started his investment career at Trinity Ventures, where he primarily worked with seed and early stage technology companies. Prior to becoming an investor, Gus held several business development and marketing positions at Saltare, a venture-backed enterprise software company.

He began his career as an analyst in the technology investment banking division of Robertson Stephens.

Raised in Miami, Gus received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA degree from Swarthmore College where he was a Swarthmore Scholar. Outside of Trident, Gus enjoys soccer, tennis, sitting in an aisle seat, and dancing with his wife.
