Gerard Rheinberger is the Managing Director for Rio Tinto Explorations’ global Project Generation Group based in Brisbane. This group houses global commodity and technical specialists and is responsible for all the exploration group’s R&D activities. This group is also responsible for RTX’s advanced project support team as well as the global data and information management function.

Gerard is a geologist who has held a number of positions in the Rio Tinto Exploration Group over the past 26 years in Australia and overseas. He has experience in multiple commodities and all phases of the exploration process from generative programs and grass roots exploration to advanced project evaluation studies.
