Geoffrey Handley is a global entrepreneur and investor, mostly famous for being the co-founder of The Hyperfactory.

Handley was born in Hong Kong in 1975, the oldest of three siblings. Handley's mother is of Malay, Arab and Chinese ancestry, and his father is Scottish. As a 5th generation born Hong Kong native, he calls both New Zealand and Hong Kong home. He has spent the past 20 years building and investing in digital across Asia and US.

He is currently helping promising companies and founders that understand and are taking advantage of the China-macro forces to fuel their growth inside and expand globally.

At the moment he works as a founding General Partner at Haitao Capital, the 1st China macro VC fund investing across Social Commerce, Fintech and Insurance, Infrastructure and Deep Learning in North America and China.

Also an active angel and advisor, Geoffrey’s portfolio includes awesome teams like Palantir, Autonomous.ai, IMRSV (acq’d Kairos) Booktrack, eZeeCube (acq’d Loopin), Addepar, TheCareVoice and China’s 247Media.
Geoffrey works closely with SOSV – $300m “Accelerator VC” and 2nd Most Active Seed Fund in the world – as Expert in Residence @Chinaccelerator and Advisor at MOX. He is also a Founding Limited Partner and advisor to New York-based, mobile-centric, Eniac Ventures and Advisor @Nest.vc.

An early mobile visionary and published thought leader, Geoffrey’s energy, divergent thinking and down to earth style make him a sought after speaker and judge at leading events including GSMA, Mobile World Congress, Ad:Tech, CES and the Cannes Festival.

Past Global Board Director and Secretary of the Mobile Marketing Association, he is also a Founding Director of the MMA’s Asia Pacific Chapter.

Geoffrey has helped craft award-winning global mobile strategies for the likes of P&G, Gome, Samsung, Unliever, Coca-Cola, Johnson &Johnson, Toyota, L’Oreal and Nike, and is a proud recipient himself of a few Lions@Cannes, Webbys, MMA & GSMA Awards.

Entrepreneur.com’s Brightest 2010 list, Gartner’s Mobile Ones to Watch, and Most Intriguing People in NYC Media 2011 / 2012, Geoffrey was also named as one of the Mobile Internet’s Most Influential in 2011 by W3C industry body DotMobi.
