Dr Garrick Hileman is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School, and a researcher at the Centre for Macroeconomics at the London School of Economics. Garrick is best known for his research on cryptocurrencies and distributed ledger technology (blockchain). His teaching at the University of Cambridge includes developing the UK's first university taught class on blockchain technology. He is regularly invited to share his perspective with the media, including the FT, BBC, NPR, and CNBC, and he was recently ranked as one of the 100 most influential economists in the UK and Ireland. Garrick's technology experience includes co-founding a San Francisco-based tech incubator, IT strategy consulting for multinationals, and founding MacroDigest and Ensembl. He is also part of the team that recently released a stablecoin called ARC.
