Diego Doval is the Chief Product Officer (CPO) at [Ning, Inc.](/organization/ning) (previously known as 24HL), a Palo Alto-based start-up working on a new consumer Internet service. He previously served as both the Chief Architect and Chief Technology Officer at Ning. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (in the area of self-organizing networks) from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.

In early 2003, he co-founded clevercactus, ltd., which worked on multi-platform collaboration software until it closed its doors in late 2004/early 2005. I was previously a teaching assistant at TCD's Computer Science department.

Diego graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where he did research in the Software Engineering Research Group. He worked at Fuego Corp. before going to the US, then after graduation he was a Research Associate in the Personal Systems Group at IBM's TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York, and later at Mindstech International in Silicon Valley.
