Widely recognized as the inventor of the first electronic cash eCash, and founder of DigiCash, he is also known for many of the fundamental innovations in privacy technology, cryptography, and secure election systems. With PhD in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, he taught at NYU Graduate School of Business and the University of California, he has also founded the International Association for Cryptologic Research, Random Sample Voting, and PrivaTegrity.
