Craig Ganssle is the founder and CEO of Basecamp Networks, a technology firm headquartered in Alpharetta, GA. Basecamp Networks delivers innovative IoT solutions on a global scale in the form of wireless infrastructures, wearable agri-tech, smart city initiatives and back-end business collaborative communications.

Craig has 20+ years experience developing and deploying wireless networks and innovative solutions for the United States Marine Corps as an intelligence communications operator and Verizon Wireless in the network engineering division. Solutions developed by Craig are still in use today by VZW across the entire company footprint. Craig also has bachelors degrees in business management from Muhlenberg College and computer science from AIU. With IoT and “Smart City” initiatives on the rise, many are trying to connect urban landscapes. Basecamp Networks has already done it both the United States and abroad.

As a partner with Google since 2008, Craig was one of the original 8,000 Glass explorers in spring of 2013. Since then, under Basecamp’s agriculture focus, Craig’s team has developed the world's first wearable application for farming; intelliSCOUT. This machine learning image recognition system uses artificial intelligence to impact global food production bringing actionable insights for agriculture to real time. Craig has presented intelliSCOUT in collaboration with Basecamp Networks other solutions in numerous countries, including France where intelliSCOUT was demonstrated to President Francois Holland as well as many other dignitaries throughout the world.

Along with speaking globally at universities and conferences on leadership, IoT, and technological capabilities, Craig Ganssle continues to drive his initiative, and that of his company, in support of global agriculture, retail focused markets, and city development strategies. Craig is a contributor to the Alpharetta Technology Commission, Wall Street Journal Leader Opinion Panel, and Marine Corps League.
