Chester is a partner at Atomic, a fund that founds companies. Backed by investors like Marc Andreesen and Peter Thiel, Atomic starts, invests in, and grows companies across consumer, enterprise, and digital health.

Over the past couple decades, Chester has built startups of various shapes and sizes - from "ideas on a napkin" to billion dollar public startups. He was most recently an entrepreneur-in-residence at Trinity Ventures, the 30-year young VC firm behind companies like Starbucks, Zulily, and New Relic. Prior to that, he spent 7 years as the co-founder and CBO at SweetLabs, a San Diego startup backed by Google Ventures, Intel Capital, and Bessemer, which they grew from scratch to a growth stage company. Before that, he spent 7 years as an early biz dev and sales lead at DivX, a video tech company that went public with a peak market cap of $1B and was eventually acquired for $326M.
