Charles Searle is the Chief Executive Officer of Internet Listed Assets at NASPERS. Charles joined the Naspers group in 1998 in Hong Kong where he held the position of Chief Investment Officer for the group’s Internet Division. Charles has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and Internet industries.

Prior to joining the Naspers group companies, Charles held various corporate finance positions at Cable & Wireless plc and Hong Kong Telecom.

Prior to joining Cable & Wireless plc, Charles was a Senior Corporate Finance Manager at Deloitte & Touche in London and Sydney.

Currently, Charles serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Tencent Holdings since June 2001 and at number of companies that are subsidiaries of or associated companies with Naspers Limited, the controlling shareholder of the Company.

Charles is also a Member of the Board of Directors at Mail.ru Group Limited that is listed on London Stock Exchange.

Charles graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1987 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (1992).
